7 Layer Bars

My mom used to always love to make sweets, especially chocolate treats. Finished off the meal with a treat. When I met Aron, he didn’t care about the dessert, just wanted the main dish. But for me, I could eat less of the main dish to have a treat 😁. In honor of my mom’s bday (she would’ve been 70) tomorrow I made 7 layer bars. One of her favorite. Yum!!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 ⅓ cups shredded coconut

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Put butter in 13x9-inch baking pan and place in oven until melted. Swirl to coat bottom and sides with butter.

    2. Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly over bottom of pan. Layer chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and pecans over crumbs. Pour condensed milk over walnuts and sprinkle with coconut.

    3. Bake in preheated oven until edges are golden brown, about 25 minutes.

    4. Cool and cut into 36 bars.
