Chicken Pillows

This recipe has been around in our family for a long time.  I'm not sure who's recipe this is originally but I know my cousin Sara made these one time for me after I had my first baby, Kainoa.  Also, our newest England Family Cook Book says Kara's but underneath says Grandma Helen.  Anyway, it's probably a common recipe but wanted to include it in my blog because they are easy to make and taste good too.  This recipe differs a little from the one I went by.  You could add chopped mushrooms or other things in the mixture too.

Ingredients:
2 cans crescent roll dough (ie Pillsbury)
2 cups cooked chopped chicken or canned cooked chicken
Chopped chives or green onions or dried chives
1- 8 oz package of cream cheese
Dash of pepper
Chicken gravy or cream of chicken soup, thinned with milk
Optional:  Dried seasoned stuffing mix

Directions:
Mix chicken, chives, cream cheese, and pepper, set aside.   Lay out dough and flatten out triangles.  Put a heaping teaspoon of chicken mixture inside and pinch edges closed.  Optional: you may also dip "pillows" into melted butter and roll in seasoned stuffing.  Lay out onto cookie tray.  Bake at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes or until browned.  Remove from oven and pan and serve topped with chicken gravy or cream of chicken soup mixture and a side of steamed veggies.
